All (domestic) books should have arrived by now + a new campaign
over 4 years ago – Fri, Jan 17, 2020 at 11:39:35 PM

Hi!

Aside from the six people who have yet to fill out their survey, all domestic books should have arrived by now.

If you haven't received them, please check your tracking number, and then let me know. You can find your tracking number on your Backerkit dashboard, and should have received it in your email.

We are soo close to finishing issue #8. I've got the first 10 pages of issue #8, and I'm just waiting for Renzo to finish the last ten pages, and then we'll have wrapped up the second volume. Here's a little sample of the eighth issue.

After that, we're running right into the third volume, and hope to complete that later this year. I doubt we'll have it finished by the time the second volume Kickstarter shoots off in September, but we can come close. If that campaign goes well, then I'll roll right into volume 4.

The plan right now is five volumes, but I've already basically combined volume 2 and 3 into volume 2 and 4 and 5 into volume 3, so it's possible it will finish with volume 4, or at least this story. If that goes well, I have another really cool story I want to tell in the Ichabod world after that, but we have to see how this goes first.

That campaign is set for September. Before then, I have a campaign for the second volume of Cthulhu is Hard to Spell, which I will reveal more about on Monday, January 27th.

Before THEN, I have a campaign running now for my most popular universe, the Godsverse, running now. It's a world where all gods are real....they are just dicks.

Kickstarter link

The universe revolves around Katrina, the star of Katrina Hates the Dead, and Akta, the star of Pixie Dust. The universe is four novels that take place across 13,000 years, from the time of Akta to through 10,000 years after the time of Katrina.

They show the transition of Hell from Velaska through Lucifer, the abandonment of the gods from Earth, the overcrowding of Hell, the lead up to the Apocalypse, the Apocalypse, and the aftermath 10,000 years in the future, across four book collections of three stories each.

And you get a bunch of extra bonuses for backing today. This is the last day for these bonuses, actually.

You'll get free book from Demelza Carlton, Jamie Thornton, Luke Chmilenko, and Kris Austen Radcliffe included into your pledge.

If you loved Ichabod, I hope you'll join me for a trip through the Godsverse.

See you behind the backer wall.

(Almost) all books have left the post office
over 4 years ago – Wed, Jan 08, 2020 at 11:36:50 PM

One thing (most) people don't fully grasp is that just because you drop something off at the post office doesn't mean it leaves that day.

When you drop several hundred packages at the post office, and you have a shipping backend to track these things, though, you get to watch them leave the post office over several days through your backend. This is very taxing for ME personally, because every morning I look and see how many of your packages are still at the post office.

Right now, there are only SEVEN packages that haven't left the post office, which is great for the rest of you...but kind of crappy if you're one of those seven people.

Frankly, if you've never seen the back of a post office it's pretty incredible that any packages get delivered at all. It is BEDLAM.

Hopefully, those packages will clear the post office this week. Otherwise, I will file a claim on Monday and then reship in the next couple of weeks.

If you're not one of those seven people, you should get your packages in the next week, unless of course you live internationally. If you live in another country, you'll get your packages between the next month and next year.

I know I talk about how taxing the rest of the work is to make a book, but honestly, this is the worst part. The most horrible part is waiting for you to receive your books, making sure I didn't mess up the packaging too much, and, most importantly, wait to hear what you think of Ichabod.

I am petrified everybody will hate the fifth issue, because it is a huge departure from the first volume. However, I personally think it's amazing, but I'm biased.

So, when you get the books, let me know by tagging me on Facebook or emailing me pictures of you enjoying them at [email protected]

Once you're read the book, especially the fifth issues, please please please let me know what you think, especially if you love it. This story has been brewing for five years, and I'm super excited to share it with you.

And if you like the first volume, head on over to Amazon or Goodreads and leave a review. And if you really can't wait for more work from me, then good news. I have ANOTHER  Kickstarter launching in less than a week. You can check it out here.

I have now received the first ten pages of Ichabod issue #8 and I'm hoping to clear the rest of issue #8 this month. Then, we'll dive right into issue #9, which starts volume 3!

The second volume of Ichabod comes to Kickstarter in September, and before then there are two more campaigns that I'm launching. The one this month is for novels, and then in March we come back to Kickstarter with the SECOND Cthulhu is Hard to Spell anthology, and I'm so excited to share it with you.

I'm hoping this is a big year for Wannabe Press and for me personally. I can't wait to continue this journey with you.

All books are SHIPPED!
over 4 years ago – Sun, Jan 05, 2020 at 12:23:48 AM

Hi,

All books have been shipped (or at least brought to the post office)! I sent your tracking numbers through Backerkit, and they should begin to arrive next week.

When they do, please let me know. Nothing is more fulfilling then watching people enjoying the books we're worked so hard to create for you.

I hope you love them.

If I missed something in your order, please understand I am one human, and I am bound to make mistakes. I checked and double-checked, but I'm sure I missed something. And I'm sure that the post office will wreck a couple, and I'm here to figure it out and make sure you get the right package, but it's just me, sitting alone, watching WItcher, and packing all this stuff. So, just remember that if I royally mucked up your order.

Now, to remind you I have a NEW NEW Kickstarter launching on January 14th.

It's for the expansion to my most popular universe, the Godsverse, which starting in Katrina Hates the Dead, continued in Pixie Dust, and now features four novels with twelve total stories taking you through the time of Akta through 10,000 years after the events of Katrina Hates the Dead.

I'm launching all four books in a single campaign launching on January 14th, and I have a TON of awesome goodies to share with people who back early, as I always do.

If you want to see a preview build of the campaign, you can see what the Godsverse is all about by going here.

I can't wait to share this series with you. I think you're going to flip for it. Also, we're almost done with the first half of issue #8, and hope to finish all of issue #8, and the second arc of Ichabod, by February, and then we'll dive right into volume 3!

Expect that Kickstarter in September, but before then I have two more planned for you. This one for the Godsverse books and then one for the second volume of Cthulhu is Hard to Spell. This one is called The Terrible Twos.

Thank you so much for joining me on this journey. I know it took a couple of extras months, but I really believe the hardcover is something special, and worth the wait.

I hope it's a wonderful way to ring in the new year.

Books arrived!!!!
over 4 years ago – Sat, Jan 04, 2020 at 01:00:24 AM

The books arrived this morning at around 10:15am PT.

Also, sorry for the crap pictures, my phone just stopped focusing for some reason and I haven't been able to get a new one yet.

I've spent the whole day packing them up.

I was able to take about half to the post office this afternoon.

The other half will be shipped tomorrow morning. So they should arrive to most destinations next week, which is perfect timing, because I have a NEW NEW Kickstarter launching on January 14th.

If you want to get notified with the project launches, go here.

I have been writing these books since 2017, and I am SOOO pumped to show them to you. I think if you like Ichabod, you're going to flip for the Godsverse.

And yes, I've also novelized Katrina Hates the Dead and Pixie Dust, adding a bunch of additional content to both, plus 10 stories that connect Akta, Katrina, and the future of the Godsverse.

And if the campaign goes well, I'll be writing MORE books in this universe featuring an Avengers-style crossover with Akta, Katrina, and several other characters you'll meet along the way.

I'll ping you tomorrow when all the books are launched, and send you tracking numbers when I have everything set.

Thank you so much for joining me on this journey!

I hope you love the books!
